Our site provides historical and environmental data, primary documents and maps, published articles, professional papers, and two books, all authored by Tom Keter. The information and papers found on the web site are the culmination of Tom’s research focused mostly on the past environment, prehistory, and history of the Pilot Ridge and North Fork Eel River regions of northwestern California.

 
Several other subjects include the ecology of fire and its impact to vegetation, historic mining in Del Norte County, and the first paper to document the historical presence of beavers in the Yolla Bolly Mountains.
